CRS president Carol Conway presented the role of technology in Financial Planning practices. Small and large offices as well as individuals working from home are required under SEC rules to maintain records for an extended period of time.

Five information technology experts presented the most recent and best information on dealing with events that might interrupt your computer and communications capabilities.

The seminar focused on three key areas:

1. Understanding various types of business interruption which include natural, intentional and accidental acts.
2. Developing a methodology for putting together an IT recovery and business continuation plan.
3. Analyzing the exposure, risk and impact on your business.

This seminar gave businesses of all sizes a chance to learn ways to prevent bigger disasters and how to shorten the recovery time should disaster strike.
